Frank D. Hobbs, Of Counsel, has been a member of the firm since 1977 and was its Managing Director for seven years, until 2006. Today, Frank's practice focuses on resolution of disputes involving business and real estate. With the goal of avoiding expensive and time-consuming court actions, Frank provides effective arbitration, mediation, conciliation and other alternative dispute resolution. He is committed to understanding the relevant facets of his clients' businesses and strives to identify opportunities or threats that would affect their overall goals and objectives. His comprehensive approach, life and business experience, commitment and legal ability make him a service provider who performs rather than just practices.
Frank has litigated and tried lawsuits across a broad range of matters to judges and juries in state and federal courts. He has appeared before appellate tribunals ranging from the California Court of Appeals to the United States Supreme Court. Frank is a proponent of charitable, educational, pro bono and civic endeavors. He and his wife live in La Jolla.
