Sara Harris represents numerous partnerships, limited liability companies and individuals in the purchase, sale and financing of large real estate projects throughout the United States. Sara's expertise includes projects ranging from 100 to 1500 unit multifamily apartment complexes to shopping centers, ground leases and development projects, among others. Oftentimes, these transactions involve the formation of legal entities to acquire property and tax-deferred exchanges, including reverse exchanges.
Sara has also represented court appointed receivers in cases brought by the Department of Corporations, Department of Real Estate, Federal Trade Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as lending institutions. She has been successful in locating and returning real property and money found in the United States and in other countries to both receiverships estate and claimants alike.
In addition to her real estate transactional and receivership expertise, Sara also has represented clients involved in business, real estate litigation and foreclosure proceedings.
Sara is a member of the State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County Bar Association (Real Property Section). She is admitted to practice before the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern District Courts of California. Sara received her J.D. in 1985 from Glendale College of Law. Prior to joining RHD, Sara worked for several years at another Los Angeles firm representing receivers, bankruptcy trustees and real estate clients.
