• Defended against, and successfully resolved, trademark and trade dress infringement claims filed by one sock and hosiery manufacturer against another, based on allegedly identical color schemes, markings, and designs.
• Represented a publicly-traded, leading manufacturer of surf, skate and ski apparel and videos as special counsel in connection with conflict of interest issues with its directors.
• As general corporate counsel, represented custom shoe designer and retailer on a wide spectrum of legal issues, including license agreements, leases, and expanding the business into a public company.
• Advised a specialty supplier to the apparel industry on a wide variety of employment matters, including the drafting of an employment handbook and responding to a complaint filed by the Department of Fair Employment and Housing.
• Assisted a nationwide licensor of golf instructional methods and associated trademarks with the negotiation and documentation of a sponsorship agreement with a prominent golf equipment company and an associated license to utilize related name, likeness, image, biography, trademarks and other intellectual property of such company and a famous professional golfer.
• Provided employment and employee termination advice to a fabric manufacturer.
