• Represented Oakwood Worldwide in the transfer of a majority multi-family residential portfolio to a REIT and in the refinancing of its headquarters and an adjacent office building.
• Represented the buyer in purchasing of a note secured by a half-completed construction project.
• Represented international restaurant and apparel companies in lease disputes across the United States.
• Represented Guess?, Inc. in the refinancing of its international headquarters building, consisting of over 350,000 square feet.
• Represented receiver of $35 million condominium development in Beverly Hills.
• Represented buyer in the purchase of the most expensive single-family residence in Southern California history as of July 2011.
• Represented a liquidating trust in the sale of a construction site to a homebuilding company for $2.6 million.
• Represented large commercial property owner on employee issues, including leaves of absences, employee benefits, discipline and termination.
• Defended a real estate company for breach of an employment termination agreement involving over $20 million.
• Successfully represented the seller of a $5 million residence in Montecito who had been accused by the buyer of misrepresenting the boundary lines. The buyer sought to rescind the transaction, or alternatively, damages of $660,000.
• Assisted in the sale and acquisition through a reverse 1031 tax-deferred reverse exchange of large apartment complexes involving two separate entities acquiring the replacement property in tenancy-in-common for $55.7 million.
• Represented developer in the acquisition, financing and subsequent sale of a residential project including 1,400 home sites and 2 eighteen-hole golf courses.
