Steven Papkin is a corporate attorney with a deep experience in the areas of finance, securities, mergers and acquisitions, entertainment and intellectual property. Steve often serves as outside corporate counsel to his clients, both private and public companies. He guides his clients through strategic transactions, forming joint ventures and limited liability companies, securities matters, trademark and copyright matters, lending facilities, and complex, multi-party restructurings. Steve also works with independent producers in developing motion pictures and television programs.
Steve is admitted to practice law in California and New York. Prior to attending law school, he worked as an English teacher with the Shimizu-cho Board of Education in Hokkaido, a small town in northern Japan. After graduating from Harvard Law School, Steve was awarded a clerkship at Yanagida, Nomura & Akai in Tokyo, Japan. Steve is an accomplished long distance runner, having completed 11 marathons, and enjoys playing ice hockey.
