Marshall Rutter, of Counsel, is a founding member of Rutter Hobbs & Davidoff, having started the firm in 1973. His practice is focused on family law, particularly marital dissolution involving larger estates and difficult business or property valuation problems. Although he is experienced in trying these matters, Marshall actively seeks amicable and expeditious resolution through mediation and negotiated settlements.
Marshall has four decades of experience providing high quality, sophisticated litigation and pre-litigation support across a broad spectrum of legal disciplines, including business contract and commercial disputes and environmental matters, as well as domestic relations matters. Marshall's dispute resolution expertise includes not only trials before judges and juries, but also before a wide range of alternative dispute resolution forums. In his free time, Marshall shares his love of music with his wife, Terry Knowles, executive director of the Los Angeles Master Chorale Association. He has three adult children and a growing brood of grandchildren.
