Marc E. Petas provides clients with over three decades of experience representing all parties involved in real estate. He advises lenders, developers, syndicators, property management companies, real estate brokers, hotel operators and individuals in the acquisition, sale, financing and leasing of shopping centers, office buildings, multi-family residential properties, boat marinas, agricultural properties and industrial properties nationwide and in Puerto Rico. He also represents clients regarding property exchanges, entitlement issues, title matters, zoning matters, the formation of redevelopment districts, and environmental problems.
Marc's clients often seek guidance from him regarding corporate issues. He works with start-up companies concerning their formation, capital structure, private placement memoranda, purchase and sale agreements for stock and assets and employment agreements.
Notable Results:
- Assisted various clients in the successful closing of the 1) sale of residential/golf course development site with two golf courses and 1,400 home site for $22,500,000, 2) the purchase of a large industrial building which involved numerous environmental issues and a reverse like-kind exchange, and 3) the refinance of a mixed-use property with marina and retail components, all on a group lease.
- Represented a nationally recognized, public (NYSE) clothing and consumer products company as a start up, providing services in finance, corporate and real estate matters.
